Matar Paneer
Ingredients:
- Paneer cubes - 2 cup
- Green Peas - 2 cup
- Chopped onion - 1 small
- Chopped tomato - 1 medium
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Chopped coriander - 2 tbsp
- Cumin(Jeera) powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander(Dhania) powder - 1tsp
- Red chili powder - 1tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin(Jeera) Seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Heavy Cream (optional) - 2tbsp
- Kasoori methi - 1tsp
- Cashew nut - 1tbsp
- Salt - as per taste
- White oil - 3 tbsp
Steps:
- In a pan add oil. After heating oil add cashew and stir until light brown. Add chopped onion + a pinch of salt. stir and make it golden brown, then add turmeric powder + ginger garlic paste and after few seconds pour chopped tomatoes. Cook it for next few minutes. Let it cool.
- Now in a grinder pour this and make a fine paste.
- In a pan put some oil. Now add cumin seeds after few seconds pour the mixture.Add cumin powder + coriander powder + red chili powder + salt . Add 1 cup of water and boil it for 15-20 minutes.
- Add kasoori methi + garam masala powder . Now put the green peas and paneer cubes gradually. Stir it for few minutes.
- Finally add chopped coriander and heavy cream and turn off the flame.
- Its ready serve. Serve it with naan/kulcha/roti/paratha/jeera rice.
