Matar Paneer


Ingredients:

  1. Paneer cubes - 2 cup
  2. Green Peas - 2 cup
  3. Chopped onion - 1 small
  4. Chopped tomato - 1 medium
  5. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  6. Chopped  coriander - 2 tbsp
  7. Cumin(Jeera) powder - 1 tsp
  8. Coriander(Dhania) powder - 1tsp
  9. Red chili powder - 1tsp
  10. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  11. Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  12. Cumin(Jeera) Seeds - 1/2 tsp
  13. Heavy Cream (optional) - 2tbsp
  14. Kasoori methi - 1tsp
  15. Cashew nut - 1tbsp
  16. Salt - as per taste
  17. White oil - 3 tbsp


Steps:


  1. In a pan add oil. After heating oil add cashew and stir until light brown. Add chopped onion + a pinch of salt. stir and make it golden brown, then add turmeric powder + ginger garlic paste and after few seconds pour chopped tomatoes. Cook it for next few minutes. Let it cool.
  2. Now in a grinder pour this and make a fine paste.
  3. In a pan put some oil. Now add cumin seeds after few seconds pour the mixture.Add cumin powder + coriander powder + red chili powder + salt . Add 1 cup of water and boil it for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Add kasoori methi + garam masala powder . Now put the green peas and paneer cubes gradually. Stir it for few minutes.
  5. Finally add chopped coriander and heavy cream and turn off the flame.
  6. Its ready serve. Serve it with naan/kulcha/roti/paratha/jeera rice.
