Methi Paratha

Ingredients:

  1. Methi leaves - 1 bundle 
  2. Chopped onion - 1 small
  3. Chopped garlic - 3 cloves
  4. chopped ginger - 1 inch
  5. Chopped green chilies - 3-5
  6. Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  8. Kasuri methi - 1 tsp
  9. Salt - as per taste
  10. Wheat flour/all purpose flour - 500 gm
  11. White oil/ghee - 200 gm
  12. Luke warm water 

Steps: 

  1. .Wash methi leaves and drain the water. Chop it finely.
  2. In a pan/kadahi add 2 tbsp of oil and heat up,add chopped onion + chopped ginger + chopped garlic + chopped green chilies. Stir it for few minutes until the onion are brown. 
  3. Add chopped methi leaves into it. Put cumin powder + coriander powder + salt + kasuri methi and stir it for few minutes.
  4. When all will be mix well and the leaves will be soft turn off the gas. Put it in a different bowl .
  5. Now make a dough with wheat flour/all purpose flour + cooked methi + luke warm water(as per needed) and make small balls from it
  6. Roll out the dough just like chapati.
  7. Heat a tawa and cook both sides until brown specks appear.Apply few ghee or butter and fry both side.
  8. Serve it with curry/chutney/pickle.
