Methi Paratha
Ingredients:
- Methi leaves - 1 bundle
- Chopped onion - 1 small
- Chopped garlic - 3 cloves
- chopped ginger - 1 inch
- Chopped green chilies - 3-5
- Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
- Kasuri methi - 1 tsp
- Salt - as per taste
- Wheat flour/all purpose flour - 500 gm
- White oil/ghee - 200 gm
- Luke warm water
Steps:
- .Wash methi leaves and drain the water. Chop it finely.
- In a pan/kadahi add 2 tbsp of oil and heat up,add chopped onion + chopped ginger + chopped garlic + chopped green chilies. Stir it for few minutes until the onion are brown.
- Add chopped methi leaves into it. Put cumin powder + coriander powder + salt + kasuri methi and stir it for few minutes.
- When all will be mix well and the leaves will be soft turn off the gas. Put it in a different bowl .
- Now make a dough with wheat flour/all purpose flour + cooked methi + luke warm water(as per needed) and make small balls from it
- Roll out the dough just like chapati.
- Heat a tawa and cook both sides until brown specks appear.Apply few ghee or butter and fry both side.
- Serve it with curry/chutney/pickle.
