Nolen guruer payesh(Date jaggery kheer)
Ingredients:
Full cream milk - 1 ltr
- Gobindobhog chal/kala jeera rice - 25 gm
- Cashew - 25 gm
- Raisin - 25 gm
- Date jaggery/nolen our - as per taste
Steps:
- Boil milk in a heavy bottomed pan.Once milk starts boiling simmer it until reduces to half of the original volume.
- Now wash and drained rice into the simmering milk and allow to cook until the rice is almost done.Keep stirring the milk constantly otherwise rice will stick to the bottom.
- when the rice is almost done add jaggery pieces slowly and stir it for few minutes until the jaggery mix well.
- Add cashew and raisins and switch off the flame. Keep aside for few minutes to come room temperature.
- Now you can serve it in a serving bowl .
