Nolen guruer payesh(Date jaggery kheer) 



Ingredients:

 
Full cream milk - 1 ltr 
  1. Gobindobhog chal/kala jeera rice - 25 gm
  2. Cashew - 25 gm
  3. Raisin - 25 gm
  4. Date jaggery/nolen our - as per taste

Steps:

  1. Boil milk in a heavy bottomed pan.Once milk starts boiling simmer it until reduces to half of the original volume.
  2. Now wash and drained rice into the simmering milk and allow to cook until the rice is almost done.Keep stirring the milk constantly otherwise rice will stick to the bottom.
  3. when the rice is almost done add jaggery pieces slowly and stir it for few minutes until the jaggery mix well.
  4. Add cashew and raisins and switch off the flame. Keep aside for few minutes to come room temperature.
  5. Now you can serve it in a serving bowl .
